Bauld Insurance launches NEW Brand, sees growing demand for insurance advice.

Bedford, NS.  Bauld Insurance, a business with a long history has relaunched its business with a fresh new brand, this at a time when the insurance sector grapples with changing market dynamics that sees the demand for insurance advice stronger than ever.

The business was founded in 1947 and has seen its ownership change over time, most recently with long time owner Klaus Wuerr completing the sale of the business to daughter and son-in-law Sara and Steve Earle. Like many business sectors, the insurance industry has changed a lot over time with ever increasing competition from the large insurance providers, digital only services not to mention long standing insurance brokerages.

“For decades Insurance Brokers controlled a large share of the home and auto insurance market. So, with increasing competition from all sides, it’s not surprising that more traditional insurance brokers need to evolve to stay competitive,” said Steve Earle, President of Bauld Insurance. “We have made substantial investments in staff training and technology so we can stay well positioned to give our customers the best advice and service possible along with market competitive rates.”

On Monday, Bauld launched a fresh new, modern design – a needed update to replace its previous long-standing brand. While the business officially continues to operate under its legal entity WCL Bauld Insurance Ltd., the new brand has been condensed to Bauld Insurance. The new brand is more representative of the business model that proudly offers its clients a high level of insurance sector advice and specialization blended with new technology including customer web portals and mobile apps.

“Our new brand presented along with the tagline ‘Be Well Protected’ is the embodiment of our customer promise. Not only do we offer our clients insightful advice to ensure they have the best coverage for them or their business, our ongoing customer service and claim support is a real differentiator,” says Sean Murray, Vice President – Business Development.

The branding work was spearheaded by marketing veteran, David Spriet through his consultancy Segmented Marketing. Mr. Spriet had previously held the role of Senior Director of Marketing at CIBC prior to becoming president of a local digital marketing shop.  Spriet was recruited by Bauld Insurance as their new Part-Time Chief Marketing Officer, a role created to ensure the business effectively markets its total offering.
